I wanted to check if a recent contact from this company regarding a remote work position was legit or a scam and came across this very recent claim detailing the same exact experience I am going through as well. Just wanted to add to it to let you know it is a true claim, whether it is scam or not I am still unsure.

I was contacted because I put in an application on Career Builders for a Remote data entry clerk position. I was contacted via email and told that I was shortlisted for an interview and was told to set up a Telegram account. I did so and had an interview and later I was contacted again and told that I was hired for the job they sent me W-4 forms as well as a contract with their company razor Marketing Solutions. I have several different emails from corporate leaders welcoming me to the company. I was issued a check from Citibank and told to deposit it and wait for it to clear it was in the amount of $3,850. As of right now I'm still waiting for that check to clear and I'm being asked by the hiring manager if I will go ahead and Fork out the funds until the check clears and I can keep the money from the check when it clears. Now I know that this has to be a scam because no professional business is going to ask for someone who is out of work to cover that much money. I would like for someone to contact me and let me know that something is being done about these people I have emails that I can forward that show proof of everything I'm saying. But it says not to send anything with identifiable information in all this has identifiable information on it so I need to know where I can send this to instead of on here.

Here is the rest of the email after getting "hired"

With all this in check, we guarantee an enjoyable working experience.

After making the deposit, funds are often generally made available in immediately or within 24 hours (unless your bank has a different funds release policy). As soon as the funds are available, you are required to keep aside $100, which is your hiring bonus and use the remaining amount to place orders for your working materials from a local vendor and keep a record of how the whole funds was used.
