Received a pre-qualified letter for to refinance my already low rate auto loan for a fantastic even lower rate. The terms of the letter had my current payment and new lower payment with the unbelievably low rate. I went to their website indicated on the letter and filled out the required information receiving confirmation of their offer for an unbelievable rate for which I now only needed to apply. I received instant approval upon applying after they quickly checked my credit with their approval notice asking for documents to be uploaded prior to financing. The problem began when their agent called me on the phone to assist in finalizing the payoff to my current lender. All seemed to be going amazingly well with no issues until the agent asked why I was refinancing the auto loan I told him it was to lower my current 3% rate to their offer at 2.74%. He said we don't offer 2.74% to anyone and have not had that kind of offer available for many months. I explained I thought that was a bargain rate too but that their letter clearly stated that was the offer AND their website when I was accepting their offer clearly stated that was the rate currently being offered. He explained he couldn't help me with the lower rate that should have never been offered in a letter or on their website since he could not come close to that offering. AVOID this bait and switch where they run your credit to offer you something else than what they advertise.
