88 year-old (my mother-in-law aka Granny) was called by unknown caller professing to be her grand daughter who was arrested in Rankin County Mississippi and in immediate need of bail money. The name "Heather" was used. The only "Heather" in Granny's sphere is her grandson's girlfriend. "Heather" said her lawyer would be calling. A few minutes Granny was celled from an individual posing as "Heather's"lawyer who said that $5,000 bail money was needed to get "Heather" out of jail.

The whole story was false- no money was taken- no further contact with scammers
