I placed a dinning set for sale on Offer Up. This person (Larry Glen) contacted me to purchase the set using the name "James". He said he was moving from out of state and wanted to send me a copy of a check via e-mail to pay for the items as he did not use venmo or cash app. I was to digitally deposit the check. He sent an extra $800 and asked that I venmo the movers the $800 to secure pickup of the items. Since we had already had several conversations about the furniture I stupidly did it for him. I waited 24 hours until the check went from pending to available then venmo his "movers" the $800 at Koral Dubea@Koral-D. The $800 was sent back to me a couple of hours later. Larry explained that he had given me the wrong movers and asked that I please venmo Ramo Herrera@ramo-Herrera-1 instead. Again, stupidly I did it. The movers did not show up the next day and after several attempt to contact Larry he has gone silent. Then last night when after almost a week the check was returned and taken out of my account. We reported the fraud to the bank who is investigating and have changed all our passwords, ect. Ramo says he received payment from Larry and does not know me. There is a lot more to this story but the is the bulk of it. I'm not thinking I'll ever see my $800 again but I would think that Ramo Herrera's venmo account should be frozen and Larry Glen investigated as well. His Offer Up handle is James (OfferUp)
