There was a pop-up message that would appear on my computer screen every time the businesses QuickBooks was open stating, "Error QBWin.log LVL-SERVICE_ERROR The Decryption has failed (-6151, -1006)" with information how to fix it and if it didn't work call the number 1-833-820-9191. I followed the directions to fix it and it didn't, so I called the number and a "Tech" guy named Andrew extension 107 answered. Gave me instructions to access my QuickBooks. He did and then said the problem would take $1,500.00 to fix it and would come with a tech person to help online for up to a year. There were other higher dollar amounts for more years and services. I felt there was something wrong with this information, so I called a number that I knew was tied to QuickBooks that I used in the past. QuickBooks informed me that the message and the number were tied to a scammer. QuickBooks fixed my problem. There was actually something malicious that was downloaded onto my computer that was causing the issue and QuickBooks helped me to remove it and with no fee.

Received phone call at my work -stating they were from Quickbooks and that our renewal was due and that our creditcard on file declined and that we need to call and give the updated creditcard information, they were going to provide a number to call. Let them know we did not have Quickbooks and they instantly said oh I'm sorry I must have a wrong number and hung up. Total scam

I got an email with an attachment that I did not download. It thanked me for a 3 year substription plan for Anti-Virus. I did not do this and I have the email them sent me put I don't know how to attach it. Just wanted to let you know.

A man called our company with a very thick accent (red flag #1) saying we needed to do a 2022 Quickbooks Update renewal. He could not tell me who our Quickbooks account manager was (red flag #2). The background noises indicated that there were several others in the room making similar scam calls (red flag #3). I did not give him any information and told him our account manager was unavailable and asked for a call back number. He was initially hesitant then finally gave it to me (red flag #4).

They say they are from Quickbooks and my credit card declined. All the info they gave about my business can be found on our website but not the info that is registered with QB. When I pressed them on this info, they hung up.

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY TRANSFERRED TO YOUR ACCOUNT

I had a gentleman ( Leo was his name) saying he was from QuickBooks and my license was up for renewal and I knew it wasn't and he said my credit card number was not correct and the subscription was ending today and if I didn't give him my credit card number. I knew something was up so I did call Quickbooks and they agreed it was a scam.

Received and email to the president of our company sayng that our Quickbooks subscription is expiring today and to renew it before tomorrow or our subscription will be cancelled. Been a customer of Quickbooks since 2004 and pay a monthly rate for their business services. When we called the number on the email. 1-800-460-9848 they wanted $4,000 and a credit card number immediately or our subscription and information would be cancelled. After asking too many questions and not complying with their request for a credit card number they simply hung up the call.

They new personal information about our president to contact him.
