I received an unknown call from someone claiming to be quest diagnostics .

They advised me via voicemail that my physician had called in a lab and that I need to call them back to schedule the lab .

This does not make any sense to me as I contacted my Dr who stated I don't have any pending labs and I contacted quest diagnostic off the official website and they stated they have no pending labs for me.

This is concerning considering they are trying to access my PHI

I got an email from a "hiring manager" from Quest Diagnostics and followed up with an interview on Google Chat. I got an offer letter a few days later and sent it in with my signature. I started to get suspicious realizing that I hadn't spoken to a real person. However before I said I am not doing this they sent me another email saying they were sending me a check for equipment and a bonus. I sent a note that said, don't send me anything, I believe this is a scam and I want to talk to HR before going forward. The check came today via Priority Mail. I have not opened it but it is the check. The money was "to good to be true" for a home based position.
