On Wednesday 1/26/2022 I was working from home due to Covid and using my computer. My computer screen went black and a message told me to call a number. I called the number displayed on my computer screen and some guy answered with a heavy accent and he said that he was a technician for Microsoft. I gave him some information and he walked me through the process of cleaning my computer. He showed me all the foreigners who were trying to break into my computer, he showed me how many people these forigns tried to steal others data. He then told me that he will download an ad blocker Adguard and Ccleaner and charged me $699 for the software and told me that I wouldn't continue to get charged. I thought this was a good way for me to protect my information online so I wrote out a check for $699, dated 1-28-22. On 2-2-22 the check cleared and I thought that was done, my goodness I was wrong. On 2-11-22 another check which was a different check number from the original from Tech Vista went to my account and withdrawl another $699. I called the number that was given to me and they continued to hang up on me every time I called the number. I wrote Q Connect and asked for a refund because on there website there is not a number to call. Then I sent an email to Tech Vista asking them to contact me, they too donot have a phone number to contact them. I called my bank for a refund and they told me that since they have my account number there is nothing they can do that will stop them from taking money out of my account since it is electric check. This company is a scam beware of them!! After doing research of my own Ccleaner is a free app that you can download onto your computer. Ad blocker is a mess it sometimes freezes up my computer and they made up an account number that is the computer id number. Beware!!! They will rob you blind. I am shutting down my bank account and filing a Police report against them. I hope that everyone who see's this will take this scam seriously because they are infecting your computer so they can steal your information and pretend like they are a microsoft technology business. CQ Connect needs to be taken off of the Internet before they put anymore people in debt and steal thier information. BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!!
