I was text messaged by a Mrs. Stephanie Watkins, from HR of Pyros Pharmaceuticals. This individual indicated that my profile on LinkedIn Jobs was reviewed and forwarded to Pyros Pharmaceuticals, and asked if I'm available for an interview. The interview was to be commenced via Google Hangouts. Once doing so, I was contacted by a Mr. Alexander Cunningham. He went through the process of what seemed to be an interview. After the interview he said he would contact me the next day at 9:00 am. The next day comes up and says I'm hired. He informs me that the company will send me office equipment and pay for the programs needed, as well as a check to download software. He then tells me to check my email, where I had received an offer letter from “Regina Giampietri” with email address [email protected] ... I take some time to review the offer letter, it is signed by “Katrina Mollenkopf, Head, Human Resources” and notice the ScamPulse.com emblem, I go to BBB.org and check the scam alerts tracker, finding an existing complaint against Pyros Pharmaceuticals for employment scam. Mr. Cunningham begins urging me to refresh my email and let him know when I have reviewed the document received. I tell him that I have received the document and have reviewed it. He asked when he can expect the signed offer letter, providing his gmail for return. I ask for a company email that I may copy on correspondence and he tells me [email protected] may be copied but that it will only be used for my employment training. I ask him if he is aware that Pyros Pharmaceuticals has been reported to BBB. He asks for the link. I screen capture the documentation and send it to me and he says: “The proper authority is trying to access that page and its not coming up.”

I was called and contacted by a Mrs. Stephanie Watkins from the human resources dept of Pyros Pharmaceuticals. This individual, was asking me if I'm available for an interview. The interview was to be commenced via Google Hangouts. Once doing so, I was contacted by a Mr. Alexander Cunningham. He went through the process of what seemed to be an interview. After the interview he said he would contact me the next day. The next day comes up and says I'm hired. He informs me that the company will send me office equipment and pay for the programs needed. They send me a check in the mail to have it go deposited. I go to the bank and tell them I'd like to make a deposit. The teller immediately informs me that the check has flags all over it. From there the tell files the deposit and has it withheld for 5 business days. Once informed by the teller for the flags I contacted the "employer." I inform them of the information. The employer asked me if i had the statement in hand and had put the check through the ATM. I told the "employer" that I no longer trust the employer and the company. I immediately contacted the bank and told them about the possible bad check.
