I found a website claiming to sell beautiful teacup persians. I sent an email inquiring about availability. He responding back letting me know he had several kittens available. He then asked for my number so we could text. He sent pics of kittens, shared all the info about. We picked one and he told me he could ship her to our local airport. I paid thru PayPal $500 for the kitten plus a shipping fee of $195. He asked that I pay thru family and friends...my mistake. Once paid, his communication was shady. He kept putting off telling me any info regarding her arrival at the airport. He’d say I’ll have that tomorrow. “Delivery day” comes and I haven’t heard anything. I text him and he still doesn’t have the exact time. Tells me he’ll let me know soon. I then receive an email requesting over $1k to actually get her shipped! What?! I text him asking and he says nothing. We call him twice and he did not answer. We knew it was a scam at this point. The “delivery company” calls demanding the money...the guy spoke broken English. We said absolutely not! We aren’t paying you anything...he wanted the money wired. I texted the breeder about it....never texted back! Looked at my PayPal account...the payment was now under a totally different name. Googled the name...he’s a known scammer!
