I was looking to adopt a cocker spaniel puppy for my family and connected with Facebook Group, "Puppies for Sale Near me," Through FB Messenger I was connected with a gentleman who sent a video and images of a puppy and asked for a 200.00 deposit through Pay Pal. Cost for a girl pup was 600.00 including delivery with crate, food, and paper work. I first had problems paying the owner the deposit with Pay Pal rejecting the "pay by friend" option with the email given to me. After multiple attempts he asked me to create a CashApp account and pay him through CashApp. I created the CashApp account but that service was also not allowing payment to his accounts (he sent me multiple accounts to forward to). Because these attempts failed he requested I get a Google Play Pre-paid Card for 100.00 from cvs or walmart. I was told to get the card for 100.00, not 200.00. I purchased the card sent the card info, scratched with receipt. During this process I repeatedly asked to speak over the phone to get more info, person is not available, person does not have the phone, person is at work. Later in the evening he called my number (I provided email and phone number) and demanded I get another card to pay the remainder of deposit. He said he had a problem, his wife also got a deposit from another gentlemen for the same puppy! He said I needed to send him another card because he uses the deposit to get the certificate. I refused to get another card. I told him that was not my problem. His demeanor was very argumentative on the phone. He hung up and said he needed to talk to his wife. Then the puppy certificate was sent to me that needed to be signed. The certificate I received was very suspicious because it had the wrong dog marked on the certificate. Then the certificate was revised and I was told to pay the additional amount on the deposit. I stated that I would pay the full amount when we meet to pick up the dog. We were meeting in another city that would be a distance for us. I asked for confirmation that we would meet, no answer. The next day, the person apologized and said he finished his dispute with his wife and asked me to sign the certificate. I refused to sign the certificate because it stated "the undersigned has been officially handed/sold control ownership" of the dog. I told him that I will not sign the document because #1 I have not been handed the dog #2 Have not paid for the dog and therefore do not have ownership of the dog. After all these red flags, I stated that I would terminate the transaction and would not continue the transaction with him. I told him to keep the 100.00 Prepaid card. I said we are terminating the transaction and no longer meeting him. That is when phone calls started.. This person was the same person from the night before, but different phone number. When we spoke he was very threatening and claimed this would be dog abandonment, there was another person to get the dog. We remained calm and said the transaction is terminated. Overall this person hung up 2xs. Called back and threatened to report us to police authorities and will be obtaining a lawyer for lost wages. *** We believe this is a puppy scam. I am sharing this so that others can be aware of similar situations for potential scams. Beware of scams and signing any documents and giving personal information.***

Page says they will sell you a puppy out of Richmond Virginia willl not answer any questions or send updated pictures of puppies just demands a down payment. When I asked for more info the page block me from messenger. Goes by the name a George Cullinet
