This company purports itself to be a literary agency that represents aspiring writers to get their works published. The first thing they requested was $800.00 to get my book "relicensed" because I needed a new ISBN#. This occurred on March 27 of this year. To date I don't know if this was ever done because I was never made aware of the new ISBN number, so I don't know if it was ever done. Then I spoke with a Mr. Miller, who is associated with Quantum Discovery, then wanted $5,000 to do a "movie treatment" of this book in order to possibly sell my book to a movie studio. I refused to do so. In late August of this year Kaye Porter said she needed $750 to help defray the cost of advertising the manuscript on "500 media outlets". I overnighted this check to the company that handles their finances. A week later I got a call from Kaye Porter saying the check I sent was accidently torn and could not be deposited. She asked if I could send another or do a credit card transaction. I received a text picture of the check and asked two bank tellers if this check in this condition could be deposited. They assured me they could. I passed that information to Kaye Porter and she said she would call me back. When she did now the excuse was that glue or paste from the overnight envelope got on the check and it was in worse condition than before. So again she requested another check or a credit card transaction. I suspected that what they were trying to do was to turn $750 gain into a $1500 with me having nothing to show for it.
