Publishers Clearing House win / gift card scam Reports & Reviews (1)

Scammers Names: David Benjamin, Tom Monroe, merchant banker Maxwell Jones. Benjamin called and said I had won $5.5 M + a Mercedes Benz thru Publishers Clearing House. Said they were in Miami (where I live) with the Prize Patrol ready to award the prize. Then he said tha the represented a private organization comprised of Multimillions Lottery, Publishers Clearing HOuse, and Mega Millions. I was told that under the Sweepstakes and Lottery Act I had to show that a Gift Card had $499 on it in order for the winning s to be registered in my name. They said at no time was I to lose the $ and it would be returned once they presented the winning check to me and we went to the bank. Then they put me on hold saying that the gift card amount had to clear customs...I checked to see if the AMEX gift card was cashed and it showed cashed by a MOMENAECUSTOM located in Nashville, TN. Benjamin kept saying he was a man of God and "seeing is believing" as this was not a scam. I asked for documentation to support and he was to email a document over nite. Nothing received. I called PCH this morning and they said it was a scam. Benjamin phone # is 516 878 2733. They have called me 55x this morning.
