Received a call from Publishers clearing house telling me I won Four Million dollars and a Mercedes car. He asked for my mothers maiden name, drivers license number, banking information, he asked if I had credit cards. He already had my address and phone number. I refused to give additional information. He was insistent on me giving the information so that he could confirm I was the right individual.

However, the called ended before I gave him anything.

Received a phone call from 610-615-1877 in Morristown, PA. telling me that I won a sweepstakes but in order to get my winnings, I had to pay a fee. When I questioned him they hung up. They did tell me twice if I was going to claim my winnings I had to pay a fee. They did not disclose fee amount!

I received a call on my cell phone from 865-229-6486 with the gentleman identifying himself as being with Publishers Clearing House. I didn't get his name. He said I had won the PCH sweepstakes. I did apply for the sweepstakes last year on the PCH.com website. He advised me to call Agent Malone at extension #5 at 631-397-3443. I called Mr. Malone and talked to a man who said I had won $5M and a Mercedes Benz. He asked me for my address, which he should have already had from the PCH website. He also told me that they wanted to deliver my check that day. He advised me to "get dressed" and ready for them to deliver the check, but that I would need to go to the Dollar Store and get a card and "put any amount of funds on the card" so that the PCH people could use it to identify me. I asked why I should do that, and he said that there would be taxes to pay. I asked why it should be "just any amount" on the card for taxes, and once again he advised me to go to the nearest Dollar Store for this card. I then told him that I would not do this because I felt his call was a scam. He hung up on me.

Was asked if filled out a entry for PCH sweepstakes and I said yes. I was told it was my lucky day that I had done the 2nd Grand prize of 3,900,000 dollars. So I was excited because it also my birthday. He claim his name was John Whitman with PCH and gave a bunch of information that was supposed to right and I did thinking it is official to claim prize. Everything sounded good until he asked me get a Vanilla Visa debit card from the store with the amount of$385 for state registration. So happy I saw the red flags in what he was saying and hung up on him..I also called PCH official number and the ScamPulse.com and they said it is a common scam. He had me going for a minute and it sucks that it wasn't true on my birthday of all days. The number is 1-876-855-4955 that he was calling from and the country of origin said Jamaica. Didn't catch until I hung up and it popped up on the phone. I answered the first time without looking at caller ID. Please be very careful because he was very convincing and official sounding. Hope this helps someone avoid the same scam I almost fell for. Don't be afraid to verify information from the official PCH website or customer service because he had me believe that if hung up on him it would forfeit my prize. John, if that really is your name, you are piece of trash.

They have called an elderly lady I sit with numerous times from different numbers and locations saying she won 200,000 and a car. They want her to pay money to accept it. We have both told them do not call her again or we are calling the law. They keep calling.

Caller named either David Moore or David Anderson, with a heavy accent, said I had been randomly selected to received a certified check in the amount of $3.5 million. When asked how I was entered, he said it was because of loyalty points earned when I added minutes to my phone or paid my phone bill. When he stated my current city incorrectly, I told him that was incorrect and hung up.

The phone showed as "No Caller ID". He got disconnected at first and then called back. He used the name David Moore the first call and David Anderson when he called back.
