- Peoria, IL, USA

I received a call from Publishers Clearinghouse Lottery stating that I won 3 million dollars, a new car and $10,000 a week for life. They told me that I needed to purchase Vanilla Visa gift cards for the amount of $600. I went to CVS first and they would not sell them to me, so I went to Walgreens and purchased one for $100 and another for $500. I had to call them and let them know that I was able to purchase the gift cards. I told them I was on my way home and would call them back. They continued calling me while I was driving and I had to pull over to give them the numbers off of the gift cards. They then called me back later telling me that I know needed to get give cards in the amount of $35,000 and not to tell anyone about this. That's when I realized this was a scam and I told them that as well. I called the number on the back of the Visa Gift cards and they filed a dispute on both of them. Visa told me that they have not been used as of yet and will send me new cards to use. I asked for a cash back but unfortunately they only send you a different gift card. I hope that I do recover this loss.

Claiming to be Publishers Clearing House Lottery, you have won a million dollars but need to send one hundred fifty dollars to Canada revenue to pay for taxes before they can send lottery winnings.  Get abusive when turned down.  Victoria B.C. Canada received.

I received a phone call that I have won a large amount of money. Do I want this made public or keep it private. The officials want to meet with me at a grocery store in my community and give me the paperwork so I can receive the winnings. They provided me a name, amount, the bank that it is coming from, package#, batch#, confirmation code, claim center #.
