My father today spoke to a gentleman and lady claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House (Clearly purchased his information from them) and telling him he'd won, would need 3 types of ID, and gift cards to pay for it.

I was able to answer after he hung up on them and informed them to stop talking, stop calling, and take him off their list. Both parties I spoke to refused to do so (One said his name was "Alex Patterson, Supervisor"). I informed them if they contacted him again, I would report them to the police and that I, being an officer myself, have arrested people on far less for the same scam.

They have yet to call back.
