Publisher's Clearing House Fraud Reports & Reviews (1)

- Tulsa, OK, USA

The Caller ID was blocked. The caller was a man with a European accent; I asked several questions and interrupted several times; I was convinced that he was not a robot. He claimed I won 1.2 million dollars and a vehicle from Publisher's Clearing House. He wanted to know my name. I asked him how he could know I won without knowing my name. He said that when I shop at various grocery stores including Target and Walmart, my receipt number is automatically entered. I asked how he knew my phone number since the grocery stores don't have my phone number. They said that when I paid by credit card, they automatically linked up my phone number and my receipt number. I told him they couldn't do that because it was an invasion of privacy for the credit card to give away my phone number. He hung up on me.
