Someone named "Kevin" called me and stated he was with the Public Utilities Department. He said I owe $1,498 and payment is due immediately. He wanted the money loaded on a reloadable blue card and to call ?a certain phone number with the card information.



I contacted PUD directly to check my balance and to see if this request was from them directly. PUD advised me of my real outstanding balance, which did not match what this "Kevin" was stating.
