We applied to rent a home at 4*** St. Jul** *** in Smyrna, TN. When applying, my husband was asked for user name and password to our bank account. They couldn't get in. Then we both got emails saying we needed to verify our account within 48 hrs. We couldn't get through. Our leasing agent, Ashley T***** was called but never returned our call regarding this. The next day, my husband and I both got emails saying we were approved and our move-in date was in 4 days at 10:30 am. We were skeptical and pulled out of the rental that I really wanted. When I called Ashley with our concerns, there was no apology for the misunderstanding. My husband is a retired pastor and we have not rented in over 40 years. Is this how this goes for renting? We felt scammed and uncertain.
