I received a phone call from "Nathan" in the Vehicle Services Department at Protech. He informed me that he was calling regarding the warranty on my car, he knew the make, model, and year of my car and asked if I was interested in purchasing a warranty. I asked him what company he was from. He was initially confused and reluctant and asked me if I was asking where he was from, I asked again what company, he said Protech, then he dove back into his spiel. I ended the call over his loud protestations. I received the call one day after calling a Chevrolet dealership about a vehicle, which seems like a coincidence. I have also received one other phone call about car warranties and 2 letters to date regarding the same. The ScamPulse.com note regarding letters sent out by Protech details the same language that was present in the letters I received. While they may seem factual, they are also written to be alarming and give the impression of being sent by a state agency.

my laptop reported a bad virus and said for me to call Microsoft techs at -800-642-7676. I called them they said I had a very bad virus and to call Protech support. I called them at 844-802-2081. They could fix it for me for $200 abd they would put an antivirus for $250. Which I all ready had Norton on my laptop. They said said it only covered up to 40 to 50% of virus. so they proceeded to fix my computer and put the antivirus on it.
