In March of 2018 I saw an ad on instagram for Promote Views offering support for women owned small businesses. I called for more information and they offered to create custom advertising on facebook and instagram for $349 for 3 months with guaranteed results. The company offered a 72 hour cancelation period on a Friday afternoon and would not honor my request the following business day. I moved forward reluctantly as the ad they created for my business did not include the information I requested and was not targeted to the audience I specified several times. They promised to contact me once a month with a report showing success of the ad. They sent the first report but never sent additional reports. When I pressed for documentation that my ad was running and meeting their guarantee I found that they had been targeting the wrong demographic for 3 months. Their "documentation" of ad success was a graphic they created. It did not offer any actual analytics provided by facebook (ex. a screen shot or other report that facebook sends to advertisers). I requested to cancel their service in June of 2018 and they promptly charged my bank account for another three months of service. I never signed a contract, however, when I requested a refund through my bank, they were able to provide a fabricated document that was not legible. During the second cycle (July - September) they never contacted me with a report for services, never contacted me to update or review current ad and could not prove services were provided. In addition to all of this, during the entire 6 months that the ad was supposedly running, the link they provided to view the live ad never worked, which I can only assume is because the ad never ran. Further, the ad they created was so poor that I had to create my own ad. Attached is an image of the "report" for May 2018. I requested to target women 18-64 in Oklahoma. You can see that their report is nothing more than numbers on a screen and they did not target the gender or age group that I requested.
