We were told that my husband work for low income college that he could get half his $14,000 student loan forgiven if we hurried and filed before President Trump took office. We were told our payments would drop to $63.00 a month and that they would complete the paperwork for us and it would go through but we had to pay $900.00 for this. We are now out $900.00 from them lying and the loan place we have our loan at said yes some paperwork was submitted but we would never qualified because they put it under financial hardship. I told them this was not true and was told it would be submitted under something else due to the location we were working. Our current student loan provider spoke with me and said this was an opportunity for them to take advantage of us and now we are out $900.00 that we worked so hard for.
