I was logged into my progressive insurance account trying to get a quote on a RV we had ordered. I couldn’t find the information on the website that I was looking for so I looked up contact information. I have no idea how this number came up from the progressive website I was logged into but a young lady answered and I explained to her what I needed and she said she would connect me to a sales associate. I was transferred to sales and spoke to a person I believed was a progressive employee (I got the number from the progressive website). So we continued the conversation, he asked the appropriate questions about an RV (all the questions we had been asked before since we own a RV) so I didn’t see any red flags. He gathered all my information then asked for my address, phone number, email, SSN, etc. I honestly didn’t even think about it when I gave him my SSN, YES I WAS VERY STUPID! Anyway, he said he would send me a quote to my email address and I should receive it in about five minutes or less. THEN, get this, at the end of the conversation he said if you go to the DMV website and there will be a link for a FOOD SERVICE COURSE and you would get a discount on your insurance for taking the course and they would give you a number to enter into your progressive account to receive the discount. RIGHT THEN I THOUGHT TO MY SELF, OMGOODNESS, WHAT HAVE I JUST DONE! So I called another number on the progressive website and spoke to another person and right away they checked for the recorded conversation and there was NO RECORD OF IT! I called my bank right away and they put a flag on my account and then I froze everthing through Equifax, Transunion, & Experian for someone trying to open a credit card, etc with my numbers.

I am so terrified that something will happen and is there anything else I need to do to fix this major mistake I made?

Had a call from Kyle Kozlowski saying he was a claims representative with Progressive Insurance out of Ohio . Informed me my vehicle had been involved in an accident, that it was my fault and wanted my insurance information. My car has been parked at the airport for two weeks. Had them check and there was no damage. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to give him my husband's cell phone and our email address. Received an email from him which I can forward if need be.
