SCAMPULSE
Type of a scam Employment
and a packet of paperwork to be filled out immediately. The posistion was to start the following Monday.
Assuming that I turned in all paperwork and passed a background (no problem) I would be starting
training.
The job offer I received stated "This is an official job offer, which means that upon signing the
paperwork you will be considered an employee of the company, not a contractor. As soon as I receive
your signed paperwork in full, it will take 24-48 hours to do a background check, and if it's a go,
I will set you up in our web system. If there are issues revealed during the background check, I will
let you know as well."
Like I said this was sent to me on the 23rd of August. I sent an e-mail with a couple of questions
got a response. Sent in the paperwork on the 24th. On the 26th I sent an e-mail and asked if I had
passed my background with no response. On the 29th I sent an additional e-mail asking again about my
background. Received a response saying security department had not gotten back with anything but I
would be the first to know when it did. September 2nd I sent another e-mail asking about the background
check with no response. September 7th getting very concerned I sent another e-mail asking if I still
had a job? No response. This morning I called and left a message and so far have not received a call
back or e-mail. I have also sent e-mails to the Manager and the HR department with no response.
They have my personal information because I filled out all their forms which included a W4.
It is now 9/15/2016 and I have never gotten a response. I turned down 2 other jobs in order to work with this company. I attempted to locate their company by means other than the direct link to their site and was unable to find anything. I ran the CEO's name and found nothing.
