I registered an account on their website to search for old 401(k)s plans from previous employers, and was charged for one dollar for the membership. Answer is stated that if I canceled within three days if I was not satisfied, I could cancel my account and will not be charged. I tried to search my previous employers was unable to. Access any information on the website aunt couldn’t even navigate because it was not responding called to say they cancel was given a cancellation confirmation number and was told I was going to get an email confirming the cancellation never received the email and instead was charged an additional $16. Actually I called back three days later and request to find out about my refund. And why I hadn’t received it and was it said charge an additional $16 was told one dollar fee was for registering unlimited searches for the month. I then told him I had canceled and got confirmation number. The same day account was registered and asked about the $16 additional charge. He said that was part of the unlimited people search. and they could only refund 50% of the $16 I asked why, and he just stated to me that I should’ve read the application more carefully before registering I quickly realized I wasn’t going to get a full refund so agreed to 50% of the refund and let them know I was going to give them a review to let people know what kind of company they were the hallway he said go ahead, but next time read the apps carefully and then he proceeded to tell me the account was already canceled that issue me a refund for eight dollars and I would receive an email confirming the cancellation and the refund. I never received the email and got a notice from my debit card, which thankfully was locked that he had tried to charge me eight dollars instead of refund.. now I’m in the process of contacting my bank to block any future transactions from this fake website
