On Thursday June 22nd, Edward Smith pulled his pickup truck into my driveway and said we have extra chip and gravel stone from a job up the road . Looks like your driveway can use some, I asked how much ? they said $2 a sq ft, i said no they then said if we put our sign on your lawn $.80 sq ft.I asked does that include the Asphalt, reply yes. they finished the upper driveway and started the lower and had to get more stone which was still not enough. Was the end of the day and request payment as they will finish when they come back. After he told me he is 36 yrs old and his father was a pastor of a local Baptist church and had a boy 1 yr old i felt he could be trusted. I issued a check in the full amount and they never came back. My bad. The pickup was dark colored and the dually dump truck was a second hand Asplundh with bald rear tires, sanded and probably ready to be painted . His 1 partner was to be his brother and wore a thick gold rope neckless brandishing a beveled $10 gold coin . They were supposed to be Pro Asphalt and maintenance company but are Pro Scam Artist. It was not an Asphalt covering as the weeds and grass are growing thru 1/2 the driveway.
