PrivCo Reports & Reviews (13)

I’m just amazed that people can hack this company the way they are able to enable to produce information from this company to make them seem realistic! I think and believe PrivCo, that it is definitely time for y’all to go inside of your company because someone is leaking information that only your company should be able to provide this is not public information that they are providing to us.

I was just scammed the other day with another company and I got them involved and they were able to shut this thing down before even got to other people but I mean able to look up this information on Google to find out this is one company that this is happening over and over.

You’re giving people Boston‘s hope thinking they’re about to get paid a good job and they’re using your company to do this!

The same thing just happened to me, that others have stated. the only difference is, they used a different name (Garcia Megan). I thought that was an odd name, but maybe it was meant as Megan Garcia. I followed the prompt as well and got “Brittany Little” too. Something felt too good to be true about it. I inquired about how my application was received. I received a promoted answer that had nothing to do with what I asked. Then they stated my application was “forwarded” to them. I have attached screenshots of the conversation. I have also attached a screenshot of the “profile” of Brittany Little. Notice how “support” is misspelled in her username. When I ended the conversation with noting it felt like a scam, the profile picture disappeared, the time listed as “last seen a long time ago” and the chat is ended. Definitely a crafty scam!

I also felt this was a scam when I received a text with the offer of $32.00. I found that there were many red flags, as mentioned above from other job applicants, including to hold all questions until the end of the interview, which was totally ignored which only verified that a bot was feeding all of the questions and responses. Here's the slam dunk of the scam, a job should NEVER cost you any money in order to participate; I have copied & pasted the following directly from the Telegram messaging used for the scam interview. "The funds for the software's cost ($2,200.00 Dollars) The company will provide you the Funds or the software's by a Scanning Company check Sent to your email, you will print it out the check with your printer , cut the edges of the check both the front and back Cut it into shape then you will endorse the back of the check and sign, snap the front and back of the check with your Mobile banking app for mobile Check deposit directly into your account with your online banking App , The Funds will be process and available in your account and ready for use, you are to deduct $100.00 as your sign on bonus and the rest of the funds will be for use to purchase of your working software's. I will be here to refer you to the vendor whom you will be making the purchase from. Do you understand this part?" "You will receive a letter from the company along with your working materials with the company's representative contact information. You will be required to set an appointment with them in your location

After setting up your home office, You will meet the company representatives in your location, you will sign your W-2 and 1-9 form. You have the opportunity to ask more questions, learn more about the company. After all the details and instructions given to you by the company, let us know if you are ready to move forward and be part of the team" and finally "I need you to make a short Video of yourself and make a Vow to be Honest , Loyalty and hardworking and also Follow the instruction Given to you.and Use the Funds and instructed with no Delay..." of course I have not done any of this but just be careful, there are some bad people trying to take advantage and will cost you more than $2200.00 you can bet that your information will be used for identity theft as well.

We are not hiring for this role AND we will NEVER conduct job interviews through a chat application. We believe this is part of a recruitment fraud practice that is unrelated to our company. For more information, please see here https://www.privco.com/recruitment-fraud

I was reached out to someone by the name of Jasmine Tatiana Stating
Good Morning, This is Tatiana Jasmine from PrivCo Company You have received this text regarding the Data Entry Clerk/Customer Service Representative/Call Center job Position. The starting pay rate is $32.00 per hour, if you are still interested, I want you to download and setup Telegram and if you have one already use it and send a message to this ID ( https://t.me/Jessieprivcohrm )for the interview/briefing and comprehensive job details. Your interview code is [CUA01OAD] Let me know once you are done?
I downloaded telegram And spoke with someone name Jessie Whitney he asked me about 5 questions related to my experience than asked who I bank with he tried to send me a check to my email for $2200 and stated it was for my work equipment after saying I was hired all of the communication through text and he told me to cut the check and deposit into my bank! I told him I will do no such thing and that this type of interview and requirements are not LEGIT and I will be reporting! I blocked him after that it’s people pretending to work for PrivCo as Managers. BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM!

This is literally happening right now, I was thinking it’s too good to be true but just decided to search PrivCo scam and this thread came up. Same details- $32/hr for data entry, all the benefits, they’ll send equipment, and “what bank do you operate with-to see if it tallies with the salary account” ugh

+2

I was recently contacted the same way everyone else was contacted. I believe ProvCo itself might be a legitimate company, but the people that reach out to you are PRETENDING to be associated with the company. That is why it was so difficult to find out whether or not it was a scam.

I believe what these third party people do is, they try to deposit fraudulent checks into your bank account. Please note, a legitimate company will never compose an interview through TEXT, they won’t tell you all your duties and requirements through TEXT— this will always be on the hiring package instead— they won’t use a YAHOO email, they won’t ask you to send them money or deposit ANYTHING into your account and much less ask you what bank you see “to see if it tallies with the company salary account.” The reason they ask you what bank you use is because they want to know if your bank is sensitive/most likely able to detect fraudulent checks. If it is, then they will cut the interview short and not contact you/waste their time because you’ll be too difficult of a victim for them.

Another red flag is, notice how much they’re paying you for the position you “applied” for (and I promise you, they will tell you that you applied to their job when in reality, you never did), in my case, they were offering me $32/hr for a DATA ENTRY position. That is unrealistic.

Another red flag is, Brittany Little, the pseudo manager is online on telegram at really weird hours. Like 4-5 am Eastern time. I know this is a small weird red flag, but it’s strange for a manager to be awake and consistently active on telegram on weekdays. It’s most likely a bot.

Last red flag is, they constantly change their telegram username. Their current username is @brittanyprivcosurport

They even spelt support wrong in their username.

The original person that contacted me is “Tatiana Jean” (obviously also fake name) under the number 218-519-0088

I was texted by a Kate Tyrese stating that she had a position starting at 32.00$/hr. Asked me to download telegram to answer interview questions and gave me an interview code. I downloaded telegram and i texted the link she gave me and a Brittany Little responded saying she was the personal manager of PrivCo. I immediately googled the interview process for the company and never once did it mention anything conducted through Telegram. I found this site shortly after saying i wasn’t alone with this scam.

I was contacted via text by someone named Marryam Carolyn from Privco. She provided me with an interview code & ID to use through the Telegram app. I went through this interview process with Pamela Little, who introduced herself as the Personnel Manager. After about 7-8 questions I was (fake) “Hired” & she instructed to send a video of myself.
I was given the rundown on hourly pay, benefits, and was told that a check for $3,200 would be sent to my email so I could purchase my work equipment.
*never asked for my SSN or Bank account number(s)* but even threw in a sign-on bonus out of those funds.
I was advised to print the check out and upload it through my banking mobile app, in which $200 would clear immediately. Next, she sent me a personal email address for someone named Elwood Berka- he needed the $200 (via Zelle) to update the software I would be using for work. At that point the red flags (finally) began to go off in my head. For this to be a professional company, the grammar was horrible.
The email addresses were personal gmail & yahoo accounts, not business email addresses. I also noticed how she kept rushing me to complete each task. But, I ended up contacting my bank and they confirmed the Scam/Photoshopped check.

I've been on the hunt for a remote job for a few months now. So calls, texts, and emails from random companies have become normal. Nothing seemed too out of the ordinary except for I didn't remember applying to this company; I didn't have any emails from this company or messages on the websites I'd been using to apply for jobs. That being said, there were some red flags that I noticed and kept in the back of my mind while waiting for the ball to drop. I received a text containing the usual, "I'm so-and-so from so-and-so company. Here is your interview code to use on so-and-so app/website." First red flag was the use of three different names; the original texter was called "Marryam Carolyn"(common scammer name), the username for the app included the name "Pricilia", and the display name for the profile was "Alice Moore". Keeping that in mind, I used the interview code and we got started. All was normal interview discussion; i.e. "tell me about your experience and more about you.... ask any questions about the company." The second red flag was a message telling me to read more about the company and being linked to the general website rather than an employment version-only lead me to customer reviews. We continued the interview until it got to them asking for personal info that is usually disclosed in the employment agreement. After I was confirmed, the ball dropped. (I hadn't signed anything yet, so I was safe.) A summary of what I was told is, "This is how much your equipment will cost. We'll send you a check to print and cash so you can pay for it. Send us a video of you saying you'll be an honest, loyal, and hardworking employee"

+1

Had the exact same thing happen to me with this company. After I went back & re-read the messages, the bad grammar was a dead giveaway. I also noticed how she was somewhat rushing me to complete tasks such as printing out the emailed check. I contacted my bank & they confirmed that most emailed checks are just photoshopped.
