Priority Cargo Delivery Reports & Reviews (2)

- Brooklyn, NY, USA

I was scammed on Facebook by an admin of a group called “Australian Shepherd for Adoption”. I joined the group because I’ve been looking for a puppy and I tried to post in the group saying what I was looking for but my post needed to be approved. I was then contacted by the admin on the group on fb messenger saying he could help me. He proceeded to send me pictures and a video of a puppy he said someone in Kentucky was trying to rehome. He also provided AKC paperwork for the puppy and the woman’s number. I asked the woman for some more pictures before I made my decision and they sent me more pictures. I then asked if the puppy could be shipped to me being that I was in NY. He said it would be $150 extra on top of the $600 for the puppy and I agreed. We exchanged info and he said he would contact me when everything was done. He then emailed me the shipping info using a website prioritycargodelivery.com. It said the puppy was flying American Airlines and would arrive the next day. I then realized it was a scam and am now trying to report it where I can. Before I was blocked from the group I was able to message a lot of people to warn them. He is not only scamming the buyers he is also scamming the breeders. The paperwork he sent me was real and confirmed by the American Kennel Club. I got in contact with the real breeder and without me mentioning fb she said that was the picture she sent the admin. When she tried to post on the page the admin contacted her and said that he needed proof that she was a real breeder so she sent him that picture. I tried to repot it to Facebook but they don’t give you an option to explain yourself so I came here.

In a private Facebook group called “Labrador retriever puppies for adoption” the group administrator posted that she acted as an intermediary between families looking for puppies, and families with puppies for sale. She took the position that having her involvement avoided scams, but in fact, she is the scammer. (Also, undoubtedly she is using a fake name.) We were in touch with her via private message for a puppy she said was available and sent her $750 via Zelle. After the payment was sent, she said that she went to the family’s home to pick up the puppy for us and dropped it off with the shipping company to be flown to us the next day. We received a shipping confirmation for the puppy to be flown to us that looked legitimate, but the shipping company is fake - Priority Cargo Delivery.

Her phone number was included on the confirmation, so in doing a search for the phone number, it appears that it belongs to Adorable Pet Home, which is also a fake company that supposedly is located in Phoenix, AZ (she said that she lives in Kentucky).

The next day (when the puppy was supposed to arrive), we received a message from the transport company saying they had a new policy requiring additional funds for insurance. We did not pay this, and contacted her again. She initially responded saying she would help to sort it out, but when we then told her that we knew she was a scam, she removed us from the Facebook group, and blocked us on Facebook, stopping any ability to communicate with her.
