I received a USPS priority envelope that contained a letter and a check. The letter states that it is a EBay/Walmart survey program instruction letter. It contains specific instructions to Email them upon receiving check, the amount of check and my full name. deposit or cash check, buy eBay gift cards, scratch off the silver areas, take pictures of front and back of cards, then send them the pictures. The check is from American National Bank in the amount of 1920.48 dollars. The check looks real except for the signatures on check. Another thing that was a red flag was the date on the check is for 2/24/20, the letter states that everything has to be done in a timely matter. To deposit check and carry out task within 2 days. Well today is 2/28/20. 4 days. Another red flag is that I have not signed up to be a secret shopper of any kind. I don’t know any company that sends random people that much money with no original commitment to even complete task.
