Type of a scam Employment
There was an advertisement on a mom‘s Facebook posting for a job work from home and I said that I was interested. It then directed me to messaging and asked me to download a Tele messaging app to do a virtual interview process. I’ll continue to go through process as normal and everything seemed fine until they asked for a credit card that they could pay off for me so I would have money to purchase software for the job. I’ve been exclaimed my hesitance and they assured me it was not a scam but I would not reveal my card number just a balance showing that I had a card. I then decided to withdraw my interest from the employment application because of too many red flags. When they asked what red flags I was referring to I told them that it seemed like a money laundering scam. They said OK and cut off all communication. I saved the conversation in its entirety along with the name of the person I originally saw the post on Facebook from and the name of the person that was claiming to give me an interview . I reported the post for Facebook scamming and I also went to my bank to make sure that the accounts were locked. And I wanted to report it to Better Business Bureau
