I was looking for a job on Indeed.com and came across Pridestaff indicating they have part-time/full time jobs in Avenel and Edison. I applied and they sent me an email to apply in person at their office in Edison, NJ. I went 2 weeks ago and when I got there they told me to give them my social security card and id and I had to fill out an application with all my information. After I gave them everything and they made copies of my social security card and id they told me they had no jobs available and that they would text me or email if they had anything available. I told the staff why would they post a job offer on indeed if they don't have jobs available and she said we do but at the moment we have one far away. I didn't think much of it and left but it's been 2 weeks and I haven't received a text or email and they took and made copies of my information. They took several people's information and sent them home with no job. I feel like this is a scam to get people's information because it was false advertisement. They took my personal information to tell me they have nothing for me and haven't reached out to me. I don't want them to use my information. Please help. Thank you.

I was contacted about a position doing data entry. I was not very smart and gave them my banking information. They deposited $2000 and then immediately took it out. When I called them out for being a scam, they blocked me everywhere. The original point of contact was phone number: 412-245-7961.
