Type of a scam Credit Cards
An online work from home ad was placed on Facebook in a group. I answered the ad and somebody told me that I needed to download the telegram app to be able to chat with the hiring manager at the company. The company being pride staff. She interviewed me on the app and told me that I was hired. She asked for all of my information and a copy of my ID. Being that they said they provide equipment for you to work with, she asked me if I had a maxed out credit card and they would pay it off and I could buy the equipment through the credit card. After they sent payment to my credit card I decided that I would check more deeply into this and I just didn't like the way things were sounding. So I told the hiring manager that I've decided not to work for them and that she could take the payment back but she couldn't because it was already processing. In the meantime my credit card company closed my credit card and restricted me from being able to look at my account online. So when I called them they said they were going to send me a new card and the payment was not authorized. So now I am being harassed by the company to go get a vanilla card to pay them back. I asked for an address to send a check to them. She told me that she did not want a check. After them harassing me that they were going to call the FBI and have me arrested I called the better Business bureau. They advised me to stop responding to her and get off of the app. They also advised me to check with the credit card company in a day or two to see if the payment actually posted or not. I think I missed the red flag when she asked me if I had a credit card that was maxed out. Anyway that's where I stand right now hopefully something good comes of this. I'm done with work from home things online.
