Type of a scam Yellow Pages/Directories
About a week prior, I received a call from a person with a similar voice (704 number) trying to get me to "upgrade my Spectrum services." I got off the phone as quickly as I could, and asked Spectrum about it. They told me they had no note in my file for anyone to call me.
In today's case, as soon as the woman told me she was from Spectrum, I told her I'd contacted Spectrum the last time she tried to call, and they told me there was no planned call. She stumbled over her words and said "so what type of call were you hoping to get?" Assuming she was recording me, I hung up quickly and blocked her number.
**I have no way of knowing if this woman was at all able to take my information, or in some way, my money. Any sort of closure in this scenario or information on other tips received about it would be extremely appreciated.**
