This was a posting for a job for a personal assistant. They contacted me with the following email :

We received your resume from Indeed for our new Job vacancies. We reviewed your resume and we are impressed. Your background and experience most closely fit the needs of this position. Currently, we have a vacancy for Personal Assistant Position and I would like to follow-up with you on hiring process

My name is Jason Dinverno, Vice President- Chief Operating Officer, Prestige maintenance USA. I'm a civil engineer, a human capital investor and philanthropist maintaining established business relationship with diverse companies within and across the Globe. My recent engagement and subsequent business expansion necessitates the role of a Personal Assistant who will help leverage my work load in order to ensure timely delivery of services and attendance to matters of concern and as such eschew excess backlogs and unattended briefs.

The sensitivity of this position warrants the office holder to be upright, responsive, accountable, trustworthy, emphatic, persevering, honest and willingly ready to go an extra mile.

Basic salary $1,000 weekly / $4,000 Monthly.

I tend to have a very busy schedule at moment, please note that this position is not office based for now due to my frequent travels at the moment. It's a part-time work from Home for now. I'm currently away for some property survey in the North America Caribbean Island Puerto Rico, and Europe. I'll be back to the states in three weeks time. So, I need an assistant to handle dealings for me on the home front when away on business which is habitually quite often. I need someone who can be able to reply to Emails in a prompt manner.

This is just an explanatory message, as time goes on we should be able to arrange a proper meeting upon my arrival. I do have a number of things you could help me with Next week if you will be within reach for me. If you're interested in the offer, this could act as a good start to our working consanguinity.

after receiving this email i started to feel unease because none of this made sense I googled the company and two websites came up they looked very similar however one had mostly green as the main colors and the other had white and blue. After contacting the company with the white and blue who confirmed that this was a valid job and that the other website was fraudulent I proceed on to what I thought was scheduling an interview. The information asked in the process was to confirm my name address and what day I would be available for an interview.The next morning I received the following email:

Dear Danielle,

Statistics show that a resume and interview do not guarantee a successful employee, After a careful review of your details, I am glad to employ you as my Personal Assistant. However, a paid three-month Probationary Period will apply to this role and during this time you will receive advice and guidance to help in performing the work you have been appointed to do to have satisfactory results.

I hope my decision will be worthwhile. I'll be using the next couple of weeks to test your efficiency and diligence towards this, also to work out your time schedule and fit it to mine. I really need the perfect person for this job, I'm confident you can take up the challenge and on the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us. The scope of your job as my assistant is to handle dealings for me on the home front when I'm away on business which is habitually quite often. As my personal assistant, you will help leverage my work load in order to ensure timely delivery of services to my clients and attend to matters of concern and as such eschew excess backlogs and unattended briefs. The working hours is flexible but it won't be more than 11 hours weekly. Benefits include: Medical, dental, visual insurance and combined profit sharing (bonuses) at the end of each year.

I hope we can get a head start with things as soon as possible. I have had to put a hold on a lot and I would appreciate it if you can be available for me immediately. I do have a couple of urgent tasks for you which will include you making some purchases and payments on my behalf. Your official start date is Monday 26, February 2018. You will receive a payment from my client via mail between Monday 26, February. and Wednesday 28, February which will cover your wages for the week as well as purchases and payments needed to be made on my behalf.

A laptop will be provided to create the efficiency in your duties. A disc containing the company's platform (software) will be mailed to you after a week.

Confirm if Your Mailing address is correct and accurate for shipping (Note Apt#): *** *** *** *** *** ** *** As soon as you receive the payment, notify me of the receipt and go ahead to deposit the payment at your bank. The payment normally takes 24 hours to clear. Once the payments have cleared, deduct your wages for the week, $20 for first class postage stamps for some mails you will be dispatching for me. I will forward the list of recipients you'll be sending the mails to once I compile it. The balance will be used for some materials which I intend purchasing for work. I'll let you know exactly what to do when the funds are available.

Kindly reply this e-mail as soon as possible to further signify your interest in working with me. I have confidence in you and I am looking forward to a good working relationship between us. I hope you will be up to, perhaps better than my presumptions about you.

Note: We will meet on my arrival, However it is very important that I sort out a few errands next week, so the project doesn't incurs time-overrun.

This was what finally made me realize that this was a scam so I did more research on the BBB website and found the legitimate corporate # 972-509-8280 for prestige maintenance company and called this is an ongoing problem they are having and they do not even have a Jason who is the COO of their company. They are currently investigating this but confirmed that this is fraud.
