I have been messaging with Jennifer Jones on Telegram and received 2 checks from Emily Costa/Hiring Manager. How do I verify if this is a scam or not? I could not find anything on any of these contacts on Presidente Supermarkets website

This is the 3rd time I have seen this kind of scam. I played their game the first time to see how far it would go. They send you a check and want you to buy your office equipment through their source.
1. Numbers legit employer talks money prior to an interview.
2. Any legit company providers their own it equipment/software.
3. No legit company uses Telegram for an interview.

Text message scam - Presidente Supermarkets

I received a text message stating that my resume was found on CareerBuilder and they want to interview me via Telegram for a remote Administrative Assistant position paying $24.50 - $44/hour. I also posted this on the Envases scam page since they are using the same number, just a different company name for the scam. It is abhorrent how scammers are preying on legit people looking for legit work from home employment. Please be careful of these imposters. The company name, Presidente Supermarkets was legit; Howe, I couldn’t find ANYTHING on the so-called HR Manager Anna Brichett. These people should be ashamed of themselves and brought to justice. Needless to say, I stopped the scam dead in its tracks after looking up the number on this scammers website, but how many people don’t and end up being victims. Sad…..
