They wanted to reimburse me for service approximately 2 yrs. I was stupid and gave them access to my computer. This was last Aug 2020. An error was made during refund and they sent $25000 instead of $250. While trying to reverse error $$ was sent
over seas to hide this error for the agent helping me. They still have AI in my computer. I was threaten with losing everything and they got to my bank info. I my account is zero. Now. $$ sent over seasThailand. And they beneficiary over there is not releasing the funds from a recal my bank sent.
What is my recourse?

I had a geek support which i paid 299.99 in 2019. I cancelled the support due to the fact that the personnel had disagreement between themselves and demanding not to respond to the other group.

Suddenly i got series of e mail threaten to charge my account for renewal and i should cal 713-766-9745. I was informed that if i need to subscribe , they have to log into my computer and they took control of the computer and suddenly noticed that all the files on the computer were been open for possibly Identity theft. immediately i complained they blanked my computer and i could't use my computer till now. i have reported to all the credit bureaus and law enforcement agents. They are all Indians as per the ascent.

Company continually sends emails saying services are being charged to my debit card(already cancelled) and trys to get bank information implying a refund.

- Franklin, IN, USA

Received email stating that my subscription was ending and thanking me for being a customer for the last two years. I was not. If I want to cancel I have to call. If I did not they would charge $399.99 out of my account. I called and they said I would have to go back on my computer and they would tell me what I had to do to cancel. Did not feel comfortable and told him I would call my bank to alert them. He said they could charge me only $199.99 if I did not have the money. I hung up and called the bank to alert them. They said there was no charge pending but if It did come out of bank I would not be liable ad they would take care of it. Have to watch my account now. This is such a pain in the a-- to have to monitor my account as I have just paid my bills and do not want to have any of them to bounce. Please be aware of this and do not go back on your computer. I just wish I knew how they get your information.

i have been receiving phone calls for years from people with indian accents stating that an alarm is going off on the computer i have a virus protection plan with them. i receive them at least a couple of times a week on both my land line and my cell phone. now i received the following email. when i called the number the first time they said john wallace is a billing supervisor and does not take calls. the second time i called they transferred me to someone claiming to be him. i asked him to verify what form of payment they had for me on file. he asked for my email address and name. i said my name and he verified my email address, but could not give any billing information stating that it is automatic by the computer and he doesn't have access. when i said i didn't sign up for this, he said that i did two years ago and must have forgotten it. i told him that i am calling their bluff and that i would report their actions. he hung up. this is a lot of money and i am afraid that they have found a way to actually bill me.

Billing Manager-Premium Technical Support

Hello all I recently purchased a new PC and was having troubles learning and wanted to stay out of the shops so I looked up Microsoft and saw Premium Technical support. So in 12 months they got me to dish out over 2000 dollars for lifetime service for online items that I absolutely had to have actually needed to secure my new system. So I just bot a new system and gave my son the other new one and told him we had service because I paid for lifetime service from Premium Technical support such as advanced password PC shield Ransom defender. Now I admit I called them several times a month for the last year and was told my account has 3 computers including mine. So my son calls and they say he owes 499. So I call and they say because I didn't pay 4dollars and 99cents for the last 10 months. Yes I did call the bank and made sure no auto payments of any kind were done because I dont trust anyone. I was told all my stuff is lifetime no future payments that's why I paid so much and to have this done. Windows has free systems cleaner app that can be done no one needs to spend any money and for sure don't call PTS because they say sir sir sir but sir but sir if you don't pay 4hundred 99dollars your PC will disappear in front of your eyes. Just beware people. So supposedly my system has 3 years of lifetime service. Huh I am burnt like BBQ chicken.

I sent a complaint just a couple hours ago and I am sending another because I received a call from PTS tech after I showed them the receipt I had the techs make before I made any purchases and they now are willing to give my other system which is my sons service . Which is why I paid the full amount. I am not upset about the amount I was upset about paying for it and being told that I did not have the service. I do not want to get anyone that is doing right in trouble. I apologize yes I was frustrated and rightfully upset. I apologize for sending a complaint I still think people should get typed some record of what they are getting otherwise may lose out on what they paid for unfairly. Thanks

The initial call is for servicing your computer. Then you receive a call saying they have a refund that you must take or they will freeze your computer. The dial is they want you to go online with Team Viewer and they take control of your computer. They want you to fill out a form which allows them to deposit the refund - say 200.00 to your account. Then, oh my gosh, they can't transfer anything under 2,000.00 so they will do that and you just transfer the money back. They tell you it's a legal requirement of the USA, then their country , then their company. The are very aggressive and they do threaten you.

Premium Technical Support phoned us and said they were going to fix my 80- Year old dad's new computer. (He has been having trouble with it, but was not expecting any calls about it) the techs name was John Wilson who had a very strong East Indian accent. He told my father to go purchase $1000 worth of "App Store & iTunes" gift cards at Walmart and to pay him with these. Dad did so while keeping ,"John" on the phone the whole time. "John" said dad would be reimbursed with a check after the problem is fixed. Dad would not listen to my urges to end the call and I fear he will lose this money which he cannot afford to lose. Help!

Was contacted earlier this date to reconcile a software product that was not performing at expectation. Was told that my $$ would be credited to my acct via direct transfer but not until the old software was removed and replaced. This was government mandated, I was told. After many questions and concerns, the “tech” told me to GO TO HELL, as I was quite adamant with the security of such instructions. I wanted to contact my bank to see if this was a normal acceptable practice and he said I’d lose my computer to a virus if I abbreviated the process he was trying to implement. Next thing I know I’m getting a text saying that 4600$ has been requested in the form of a cash advance. Please investigate.

Do not accept a phone call from this company. Said they would like to refund monies for a faulty program. The said they put monies into my bank account. Wanted me to go to Walmart to purchase gift cards and then read them the numbers on the back which means they were cashing them in as the numbers were read. No monies were every delivered into the bank account. In other words, they stole monies.

- Milwaukee, WI, USA

I received a call fro Premium Technical Support stating that they had lost their license in the United States and that they needed to refund my my $***. They asked me to set up a PayPal Account and asked for my checking account number and they were going to deposit $*** in it and I was to pay them $5100 back. I gave them my checking account information, and remote access and they wanted more, so I ended up hanging up on them. I was told that they were going to put a lien on my house because I owe them $***. I checked with my bank and they told me they would watch my account.

A message was left on my home voicemail to return their call because their business was closing and they wanted to refund money. Did not refer to any household member. I returned the call. They sounded unprofessional , no business identified until I asked . I asked if I entered into a transaction with them , they should identify who I was. I also never entered a transaction with them so i told them I was turning them in.

My computer was freezing up after accidentally downloading ADVANCED MAC CLEANER (which I now know is a malware) -- I called the software to inquire how exactly to remove the malware and was transferred to this company. They convinced me to purchase a $299 service online that would clean up my computer and remove all malware. I was very tired at the time (just had our second baby... give me a break) and fell for the scam for a about 10 minutes --- then knew something wasn't right and demanded my money back. After repeated calls and follow up -- I was refunded. However, they still call me about every 3 months and say, "we see that you have suspicious activity on your IPS address ... " --- THIS IS A SCAM.

was on facebook. clicked on to see 10 year old drummer. Immediately my computer froze with flashing warning box, saying to call this number, that my computer had been hacked, and filled with a virus. called number because I could not get the computer to do anything. lady kept repeating to STOP, your computer had been hacked and they would help to fix the issue. the message kept playing, loudly over and over. Computer would not shut off, and could not get out of that page, etc. I was scammed...by them. Was talked into them being professionals from Microsoft support because my 30 day trial security was up, and they could install new security and virus protection. Foolish enough to allow them to access my computer , and it looked like they were fixing the problem right before my eyes. Of course, there was a cost of the new security and anti-virus protection. Service tech stayed on phone explaining it all to me as he was "fixing" the problem. Second guy came on when it came time for approval of billing my card. then over the next 30-45 minutes, a guy named Steve took over control of my computer, and "installed" Norton, deleted the hundreds of error reports, and warnings and "spyware". Low and behold, he was scanning my entire computer and now has access to everything, e-mail, banking, Facebook, searches, and simply everything. Since my computer was froze, I could not do a check on anything they said, because I couldn't get out of the page that was flashing me with that warning. After all said and done, it "appears" to be fixed, and I have been able to check my stuff. Nothing seems out of place, and I pray it all was legit, but, now that I am looking into it more, such as tying the help phone number...which reverse phone look up could not find it, and using the ScamPulse.com,as well as checking their website, it seems as if I have been scammed.

I noticed a missed call, so I called it back. When I called back, I held briefly, then spoke with a man of Indian or Pakistani origin. He proceed to claim to be from AppleCare support, and that he was calling me because my Apple Id had been compromised. He then asked me how many apple devices I have that access this account, at that moment I became suspicious. I thought, "wait, if he's from apple support, then wouldn't he know that information already?" So I told him I had several and asked why he needed to know. He then said, "How? You sound like you were poor." At that moment I knew he was a fraud. I then told him I would contact the proper authorities, and he started spewing expletives and names at me. I hung up the phone immediately and began to fill out this form.

Person calls about 7-10 times a day to tell me that my I.P. Address from a computer (we no longer use) has been stolen. They have an accent of India origin. They hung up after I told them I destroyed the computer. They also knew my name.

A pop up comes on the internet. Company name Premium Technical Support with ties to Microsoft Windows. They will clean up your PC and make it run faster. Cost $199. They do clean up the PC and it runs faster, but they continually call you back seeking information about pass words etc. They also try to get you to purchase their services, support etc. I tell them I don't want their services and to put me on their no call list, and they immediately hang up and call back again non another day.
