My wife & I visited https://premiumbostonterriers.com/ website filled out online form inquiring about female Boston Terrier Puppy Ella. Robert from site contacted us via email answered all of our questions about purchasing Ella. He sent us contract, we signed the contract on 1/18/21 and sent it back. He requested that we pay $850 via Apple Pay. We paid the $850 via Apple Pay. He indicated on contract that shipping is included in the purchase price. We requested Ella to be shipped on 1/23/21 directly to our home. On the day of shipping Robert sent us shipping confirmation. Soon after we receive email from shipping company email address [email protected] that our puppy is being shipped by Skywave Animal Travel Services company and that we needed to pay $1200 upfront to rent an electronic shipping crate of which we would be reimbursed $1080 and only pay $120. This raised a red flag to my wife & I.

We contacted the seller Robert via email and requested that he rectify the situation because having to pay any additional money for shipping is not in the contract. We received a call from the shipping company indicating that we will be held liable for pet abandonment. The caller was being very forceful in his tone. I told my wife to hang up. We the received email from seller indicating that we needed to pay the shipping. We responded to email indicating that this is not in the contract and if he did not rectify the situation we were going to report this situation to the proper authorities. My wife and our 2 boys are devastated that we were taken advantage of by scammers. This hurts on all levels. My wife is a nurse on the Covid unit of our local hospital. This puppy was meant to be a healthy distraction for our family. We will continue our search for our new family member but wanted to make someone aware of this situation so it does not happen to anyone.
