Type of a scam Rental

I made a post in a Facebook travel nurse group in search of housing in the Portland, ME area. Someone by the Stephanie Burrows private messaged me and stated they had something available and asked if I had pets and what was my budget. I responded right the budget and she stated she would look to see what was available and send me more info. I checked their profile and everything seemed legit. Next I asked when would I be able to view the place in person, they then responded and said they had to check the open house schedule with their booking manager. It was at this point that I started to get suspicious. This was supposed to be an apartment and there isn’t usually a open house for apartments nor do we refer to people as booking manager. I started conducting reverse sera he and the results were not matching. The name came up as someone else on linked in with a completely different pic and different job than this so called person had their name and pics as. I went ahead and asked for their booking managers email and name and that’s when I searched that email in google and was led another complaint on BBB.Luckily the only info I had revealed was email address and obviously they had my name due to my Facebook name and I was not planning on sending any monies but this could have been worse. I did inform this person that I know they are attempting to scam me. I also reported the page to Facebook. I’m posting this to hopefully save someone else from this scam.
