Charge for magazine didnt get kept chargeing my account after i quit my subsciption caling at all hours of the night and will keep calling they still call me

- Lorena, TX, USA

I received 3 phone calls to my cell phone on 1.8.16 from 855-955-3360 from "Premier Media."

Initial caller was a female who was calling to see if I was receiving magazines in a timely manner or if any had been damaged. When I asked her which magazines she was referring to - she could not tell me. She asked me the line of work i was in and my age. Then, she transferred me to a supervisor - Derek - who asked for verification of information that I had supposedly provided online when I signed up for this "auto renewal" package. The information included: my employer, # of years i had worked for the company, my occupation, my home address, how long I had lived there, did I own/rent, my credit card #. The rationale provided for why they needed this information was to cancel a 5 year "auto renewal" i supposedly had on magazine subscriptions. Derek said he needed the credit card # to cancel the auto bill that was set for $49.90 (monthly). NOTE: I am not aware of any prior auto-bill set for $49.90.

Derek insisted I write down his employee ID# - 4171 and his name and phone #, 855-955-3360. This made the call seem legitimate.

The call became more suspicious when I asked him "Why" he needed to know the # of years I had lived at my home and the # of years I had worked for my employer. It was then that the phone call was disconnected....

Then, I received another phone call (almost immediately) from John in Mobile, Alabama who said his phone # was 888-235-9118; however, the phone # that registered on my cell phone was 470-297-0252. John called two times. He said he was calling because I was disconnected from Derek and my cancellation of the magazine subscription was "scratched" because I didn't complete the questions. He instructed me to clearly say "No" or "Yes" after he read several questions that Derek had already gone over with me. He said he would read the questions - quickly - to save time. There was a question that I asked him to repeat 4 times because it sounded like I was committing to a charge....when I said to him, "Repeat the statement and read it very slowly" we were disconnected.

John called, again, to finish the questions/answers. When I asked him to repeat the same question because I could not understand what he was saying...he continued to mumble and read the question too quickly. At that point, I told him very emphatically that I was not interested in any kind of magazine subscription, I wanted to cancel any auto renewal that had been set on a magazine subscription and that I was reporting him and Premier Media to the BBB for harassment.

I don't know if this will result in loss of $$ because they now have my credit card #.
