In Texas and found a listing by Brendan Moreno on Facebook Marketplace. Negotiated a price, requested a formal quote and gave him my email address. Received an email with estimate from Premier Container Corp with an incomplete Industrial Dr, Houston, TX 77029 address, a 305-741-0969 (Florida) phone number, an email address of [email protected]. I looked at its website www.premiercontainercorp.com and the sketchy info matched. I called the phone number about the estimate which briefly and incorrectly described the two shipping containers I wanted to purchase. The Florida man informed me that I would have to pay 100% in advance before delivery. I advised that I was only willing to pay the delivery fee up front and that I wanted to talk with someone at Premier in Houston. A day passed and nothing. I messaged Brendan and told him I was beginning to think this was a scam which he assured me it was not. A few hours later I was contacted by John (281-942-1465) supposedly from Premier and I told him too that I would only be willing to put down $1000 and would pay the remainder upon arrival and my inspection and approval of the shipping containers. He said he would have to get approval. He is to call back tomorrow. In the meantime I contacted another listing on Marketplace and went through a similar process and received an invoice from US Prime Containers with an address of 27602 Imhof Rd, Waller, TX 77484, phone of 469-202-8347, email of [email protected] and wire instructions of acct no 004668156790, routing no 011000138 (Bank of America in Henrico, VA) and acct name US Prime Containers. US Prime also wanted 100% payment in advance. We couldn't agree on an acceptable down payment amount before I backed-out. US Prime Containers has a website (www.usprimecontainers.com) which is identical in content to the website for Premier Container Corp except the phone number is 469-202-8347. The "Contact Us" link for both websites gives an Industrial Dr, Houston, Texas label but shows an address of 78 Shorncliffe Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 5K5, Canada address on the map. Nothing adds up. Fortunately I did not lose any money.
