I received an email on LinkedIn from Celia Vasquez who profile no longer exist on this career site. This person claimed to be a recruiter for Pregis LLC. She asked me to speak to one of the hiring manager via Google Hangouts which i thought was pretty weird but my schedule to talk is complicated. I am currently employed however I am actively looking for a Work From Home job that I could focus my family and health. Also the pay at my current job is not survivable I also was looking for a higher pay. This job sent me offers letters after having an interview with the hiring manager located in Europe. Which I found out because the email address ending in "eu.com" for example; [email protected]. Long story short this person pretending to be a hiring manager requested that I complete an application online and sent a the link to the application to my email. Once completing the application they sent a offer letter asked me to complete W-4 forms, forms for direct deposit or get a card, and asked for pictures of my office space in my how which they called (HOL). They told me that I would get paid training and due to my office space not meeting the requirements they said i could be qualified for a grant. They then asked me to contact the fiance department to get set they then asked me to open an account with Quickbook and create my own business. I asked questions because I did not understand how creating my own business was going to help get me a grant. This person stated that this was part of my training and what I would be doing in the company when I start working. He asked me to create an invoice two invoices worth 24,000 dollars. My fiancee was very concerned and found this to be scam so i asked more questions and fiance department then got aggressive. Since the conversation did not go anywhere i then contacted hiring manager via Hangouts. He said people have been using the business as a scam so they did not want people added on to the business account until after training. That I would just be using my personal account for training. Few days later the invoices disputed and I had to contact the Fiance department and informed them he was said we had to break the payments down and try again. He said i need to link my account to the random Bank of America account he sent to me. I was not comfortable after doing research via google the Job seemed legit. I even went to the the website. We successfully were able to get the payment until I received an email from my bank and explained what was going on with this new job. The stop the payment I then get a call from Quickbook and explained all this. I contacted these people that say they work for Pregis LLC and yet until this day have not heard from them. Quickbook advised that I should report this issue to the better business bureau (BBB). If Quickbook was not that secured I would of owed a lot of money that i did not have. This company is not legit a few people i spoke have deleted their account on Google Hangouts and LinkedIn.
