Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Initial contact is a website that just takes your email address etc. they email back to say you are accepted and ask for a physical address to send a check.
They send a check that is not valid; it has a valid routing number that matches the bank but no bank phone number, also the amount they offer to pay is about 20x the going rate for wrapping your car in an ad ($2000/mo vs $100/mo).
I presume the next step would be after I would deposit the check and the amount shows up as available, they want me to write a check is what they say but they will have to change that to send electronically some way to an untraceable account. I of course did not cash the fake check.
