Powerball/Lottery Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

I was contacted through text message from a supposed Dave Johnson, $298 million Powerball winner, claiming he was giving $50,000 to a set number of random people and was told to text Robert Schwinn at another number posted in the message. When I contacted the 2nd number, he asked me to visit a legitimate looking website and fill out a verification form. Since the form did not request personal information, I filled it out. Then the person began requesting a photo of my ID. I was stupid enough to send a copy of my ID, but when he requested my SSN, I got suspicious and halted communications.
