I’m from rolling fork ms and just got a job in Jackson so I was trying to find a place to live and I saw this house that the man had posted for rent in a perfect location and I thought it was real he proceeded to tell me I had to pay the deposit and application fee and it would be secured for me, so I did and then he wanted me to just keep on paying for things that just didn’t make sense to me so I decided just to look further into it and come to find out the house didn’t even belong to him. It wasn’t even on the market. I contacted the actual owner or realtor and it had sold. I then told him that I had saw that and I was no longer interested in the home to please send the $590 back and then he just quit answering and I had asked several times. I haven’t heard back from him since. I called my bank and Venmo. I also reported him and have the screenshots of everything. So hopefully this will not happen to anyone else.
