Began getting repeated texts telling me I was to watch for a package being sent to my mailing address and to text 501-800-9053 when the package arrived. I ignored it because I hadn't ordered anything. Then when I checked my mailbox I had received a UPS Priority Mail letter-sized package. Inside was "cashier's check" and a copy of a document, with extremely, very difficult to read small print, saying that this was my first assignment as a mystery shopper for PostedjobsInc. I was to text that I had received it to that number given above and send an email to [email protected] (or [email protected] - so small it is difficult to differentiate if that is a second "l" or the number "1". The objective of the shopping survey sounds preposterous, that "Due to the Federal Reserve Global Campaign on securities on mobile payments all federal malls & stores were advised to stop sale on some type of Gift cards, but surprisingly we received some reports that certain malls/stores like Wal-Mart are still selling Banned Gift cards which is against the stated policies. In response to these our Organization has been contacted independently to conduct detailed investigation on stores/malls so as to unveil instances where policies has been disobeyed as well as instances where customers has been denied the privilege of getting Gift Cards." (sic)

Next, the document instructed me to take the cashier's check to the bank, cash it, then keep $350. I was to take the remainder to Wal-Mart and purchase three $400 gift cards. Then I was to take the remainder to another Walmart where I was to purchase 2 more $400 gift cards. I was then to "conduct a survey" of the Wal-Mart employees' behavior while ringing me up and to send my "survey results" and pics of the gift cards to the phone number and email address. When I didn't respond right away, I received a second UPS envelope with the same info and a new "cashier's check". In the meantime, I had already checked online and found that it was, as I suspected, a complete fraud.

I was texted with instructions to deposit checks and take the money to buy Walmart Gift Cards and keep the change.
