I was having issues with Home Depot remodeling my kitchen. They continued ignoring my calls concerning the product quality, workmanship, and production. I was reaching out to members of their complaint department and even the fraud staff, with letters and conversation. Seems no one could help, so I found another number, which I assumed it was the headquarters' building. I reached Richard, whom said he was head of the "Pro Customer Service", but would listen to my complaint. He said he would help me and was very sympathetic about all I had gone through. He was going to handle it. He asked me to go to Home Depot where I had purchased the cabinets, etc... I called him back once I got to the parking lot and he instructed me to go to the local Meijer store and purchase 6 Home Depot gift cards with $100 on each. I did but was questioned the manager as to what they were for. Richard assured me this was fine and just tell them they were for family members, explaining he would deduct the cost from my bill.

He did this a number of times and I agreed. Within 24 hours I had purchased $17,000

worth of gift cards and even went to one store to verify that there was a Richard in the California office. I received a phone call from my credit union saying no one would ever do this. Upon returning home, I notified the police department. They came and filed a report but there was nothing they could do.
