I had been applying for loans and was getting denied left and right then I received a yet from this number saying that my loan was approved and to call their number. I was so excited that I finally got approved that I just called them. They asked me a few questions about how much I wanted and what I needed the loan for and then somehow they knew things that I didn’t tell them, like which bank I use so I thought they were legit. They then told me there was a fee of $50 which is refundable in order to get my money. I asked where to send the money to, and they said I could cashapp them or go on their website and buy something to add money to. I wanted my money as soon as possible because I really need the money so I just used my cashapp and sent them the last of my money which was the $50. Once they received the money they told me it would take thirty minutes to reach my account. Well thirty minutes went by and it still wasn’t there so I contacted them and they said that their server was down but it should only be another thirty minutes. Well another thirty minutes went by and I contacted them again and they said just ten more minutes. That’s when I knew it was a scam. I asked what company they were from and they said Advance America. Well I went to Advance America’s website and chatted with someone there and told them the situation and they told me that it sounds like I got scammed because no one from their company has contacted me. I sent a screenshot of my conversation with Advance America to Michael (the man who scammed me) and told him I wanted my money back, but he never replied. I’ve tried calling and they never pick up. It’s been 24 hours and the money still isn’t in my account so I think it’s safe to say it was all just a scam.
