A business identified on call waiting as Portfolio Recovery has been calling my landline on a daily basis for close to 6 months. Voice messages are never left. I answered a call on 12/9/20 for the first time in an attempt to stop the harassing calls. They would not give me any information and despite my pleas to stop calling, they did not agree to stop. They asked me to confirm personal information which I refused to do. I asked that they send me a letter but they ignored the request.

I have been getting calls from Portfolio Recovery claiming that they are calling about an outstanding debt for Sams Club. I have called Sams Club twice and they have said that there are no outstanding debts, I owe nothing to them, and they have not sent any debts to collection agencies. I would like to know what to do if they keep calling. It is intimidating having someone call saying they're calling from a collection agency, when the company they're claiming to call for says I owe nothing. I don't know if they're going to try to hurt my credit but I would like to keep myself protected. My latest call from them was on 3/13/2016. The number they called from was 1-859-795-3413. Please let me know what I need to do.
