"We are extremely sorry to inform you that we are no longer able to supply the PENTAIR | 3/4 FULL; 1 HP UPRATED 2 SPEED | 355003S at the price of $394.84. Our supplier recently increased the price for this particular item and unfortunately the increase was so large that we are unable to honor the original price. The new price for this item is $470.
We really apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you would like to continue with the revised price."
It is clear the product is in fact not in stock and ready to ship. I declined to pay $470, said I wanted the product I ordered for the price advertised and that if they didn't do that, I would inform the ScamPulse.com that they were engaged in false advertising and seemingly predatory business practices where they tried to take advantage of a customer for more money. In response to that, the company cancelled my order and said they are refunding me. In preparing this complaint and exploring the website, there is very little in the way of company information on the website. It does not have their address, or state of business. The "about" page is simply a picture of a warehouse. There is a phone number with a Bay Area CA area code. Since this event occurred the company has yet to update their website identifying the part as "not in stock" or updating the price to $470. At minimum this is a very poorly run business, and at worst it is an attempted scam that I was able to catch on to. Companies should be held accountable for their advertising and held to a contract if they allow a transaction to go through. I tried to upload a screen shot but it wouldn't allow me to continue.
