Told that there was a warrant out for arrest in TX and this so called officer needed my social security number and credit cards. When i did not have any credit cards he hung up. I called back that number and and was told no one called you from this number. it is a "on hold message" center that does not return calls etc. Not sure what he will do with my soc sec info but already contacted credit bureaus

Person claimed to be a police officer and that I had outstanding warrants or some such garbage. I didn't listen to the whole thing because I knew it was a scam and I am a law-abiding citizen. This scam has been going on for a while because my husband almost fell for it a couple of months ago.He was targeted at his office. He could have lost money or even his life if he had met this person as requested.

Claimed to be grandson that had been in vehicle accident and was detained for drugs. "Officer" asked for 3000 dollars in best buy gift cards as means of bail.
