Received a call from a foreigner asking for money to help fund the police during this time of unrest.

Male caller mumbled something when I answered, ending with my first name as if to ask if it was me. I reactively asked, "Yes?" He went on to tell me that is was being recorded, and the purpose was to raise money for police officers who were injured and their families if killed, and to help pursue legislation aimed at stricter prosecution of violent criminals. Having never heard of such an organization and not interested in donating to anything out out of our area, I told him I donated locally and was not interested. He persisted, saying there was a minimum donation but I interrupted him, saying, "No, thank you" and hung up. I called back, using *67, and all there was was a recording saying to press a number to be removed from their call list.
